About Myself...

Thanks for stopping by my website! Here's some stuff about me.

I am a graduate student in mechanical engineering at Duke University.

I am from North Carolina, and I was born in Charlotte in 1983. Right away, I seemed to bear an innate interest in aircraft and spacecraft. After years of hurtling paper airplanes across the schoolyard, my passion for aircraft matured into a course of study in aerospace engineering at NC State University. Not feeling quite done with school yet, I now go to Duke, where I can learn even more about the intricacies of fluid flow on aircraft.

Along the way, I have developed many other interests in addition to aerospace. When I was younger, I served as an organist's assistant and learned lots about the organ and classical and liturgical music in general. This is still one of my great interests, and from time to time I have been active in vocal performance as well.

I've always had an inclination toward drawing and very amateur photography. A small sampling of my work is available on the Pictures page of this site.

I also have a great appreciation of the outdoors. I like to hike, bike, and go backpacking. I joined the Boy Scouts to gain more opportunities to go camping, and now, I am an Eagle Scout as well.

I've been cycling since I was in about 7th grade. It's still one of my favorite things to do. At present, my riding is more functional than anything else; I commute to work on bike.
